The customer’s offline mode of reconciling claim payments resulted in lack of transparency among the stakeholders, significantly higher Provider call volumes and decreasing customer experience. Legato developed a HyperLedger based blockchain solution for claim payment reconciliation. This private permissioned blockchain, managed critical financial attributes (including amount, date, payee, etc.) essential for tracking payment status. Smart contracts were triggered for every transaction among the stakeholders, resulting in real-time tracking of payment status on the ledger.
